From Hatch to Brooder to OMG they have to go OUT?

Wanted to start a blog so anyone thinking about getting chickens and have been scared to start because they have heard so many bad rumors will see how fun it really is! I'm here to tell you that after having chickens for six years now that they can be a JOY to have around and they do NOT stink like I was told, if they are properly taken care of. I have also Included a detailed Post on how to make your own cheap brooder for 25 chicks for up to six weeks (pictures included.)

Blue Wheaten pair

This is a Blue Wheaten Pair, it was a trio but they did no like the other hen so I let her outside to roam with the Cochins. They liked her and things are going ok so far. Now we will see if she will go to bed tonight or if she will try roosting up in a tree. There was a lot of action in this coop until I removed the freaked out third chicken. Now this pair is starting to relax a bit. The hens are new, got them from a friend of mine to go with my lone roo.

More of the older crew.

Some of the crew were still hanging out on the floor and were still complaining about not being able to go "home"  I hope they choose to see this as their home soon.  They will be happy again when they are let out to eat grass in their run (alot of it now that there were NO chickens in this coop all of last year and this year so far.)
